1 Jesus shall reign, where'er the sun
Does his successive journies run;
His kingdom stretch from shore to shore,
Till moons shall wax and wane no more.
2 People and realms of ev'ry tongue
Dwell on his love with grateful song,
And with united hearts proclaim,
That grace and truth by Jesus came.
3 Blessings abound where'er he reigns:
The pris'ner leaps to lose his chains;
The weary find eternal rest,
and the sons of want are blest.
4 Where he displays his healing pow'r,
The sting of death is known no more.
In him the sons of Adam boast
More blessings, than their father lost.
