Text: | Obey the Master |
Author: | Clifford A. Cole |
Tune: | [By Galilee of long ago] |
Composer: | Charles Steggall |
1 By Galilee of long ago
The Master walked on day,
He called to men whose hearts were brave
To follow in his way.
They answered firm with loyal pledge,
"Yes, Lord, we will obey."
2 Jesus still calls to us today,
He asks for faithful hands
That in his service will obey,
And follow God's commands.
Let strong souls answer as did they
On Galilean sands.
3 I hear his call within my heart,
I'm glad he's chosen me
To walk with him and share his work
As did those by the sea;
I'll join with all who, loving him,
Would kigndom builders be.
