18. If It Be His Will

1 If it be His will, I shall be satisfied,
Even tho' my fondest wishes be denied;
I will wait in patience, trust His promises still;
I will learn to say, "It is my Master's will."

If it be His will, I will wait in patience,
I will trust His promise still;
Tho' my cup of sorrow to the brim He fill,
I will sweetly say, "It is my Master's will."

2 If it be His will, I'll bid farewell to ease,
Give my time and talent dear Lord to please,
Knowing all His promises He will fulfil:
Use me, blessed Master, if it is Thy will. [Chorus]

3 If it be His will, I'll spread the news abroad,
How my sins are pardoned thro' the Lamb of God;
How His precious blood atones for ev'ry ill:
Lord, I'll speak Thy message, if it is Thy will. [Chorus]
