Text: | O Beautiful Home |
Author: | Ada Blenkhorn |
Tune: | [O beautiful home in glory] |
Composer: | P. Bilhorn |
1 O beautiful home in glory,
Near to the crystal sea,
Where fountains of living water
Flowing forever free;
There doth our dear Redeemer
For us prepare a place,
That thro' the blessed Forever
We may behold His face.
2 O beautiful home where angels,
Clad in their robes of white,
In temple of gold and jasper,
Serve Him both day and night:
"Honor, and might, and power,
Be to the Lamb once slain—
Glory to God in the highest!"
Is their triumphant strain.
3 O beautiful home where loved ones
Hunger and thirst no more,
For Jesus himself doth lead them
Safe on that happy shore.
There by the crystal river,
Where grows the "tree of life,"
Sweet is the rapturous glory,
Blest is the ended strife.
4 O beautiful home where Jesus
Waiteth to welcome me,
I long to behold its splendor,
Ever with Him to be.
Gladly my ransomed spirit
Homeward would take its flight,
Dwell with the loved in His presence,
Rest in eternal light.
