Text: | Shut in with Thee |
Author: | Grace J. Frances |
Tune: | [O Saviour, teach us how to pray] |
Composer: | Hubert P. Main |
1 O Saviour, teach us how to pray
And choose the words that we should speak;
While gathered here at close of day,
Thy throne of grace to humbly seek.
Refrain:
Shut out the world, and let us be
For one sweet hour shut in with Thee.
2 Thou knowest, Lord, how frail we are,
How prone to wander from Thy side;
O keep us safe within Thy care,
Be Thou our Shield, our Friend and Guide. [Refrain]
3 Eternal Spirit, Holy Dove,
To seal our hearts the pow’r is Thine;
Unite us in the bonds of love,
And keep us one, thro’ grace divine. [Refrain]
