1 Lord, when together here we meet,
And taste thy heav'nly Grace;
Thy Smiles are so divinely sweet,
We're loth to leave the Place.
2 But Father, since it is thy Will,
That we must part again;
Yet let thy special Presence still,
With every one remain.
3 And let us all in Christ be one,
Bound with the Cords of Love;
Till we before the glorious Throne,
Shall joyful meet above.
4 Thence, void of all distracting Pains,
Our Spirits ne'er shall tire,
But in Seraphic, endless Strains,
Redeeming Love admire.
5 All Sin and Sorrow from each Heart,
Shall then forever fly;
Nor shall a Thought that we must part,
Once interrupt our Joy.
6 And thus to all Eternity,
Upon the heav'nly Shore:
The great mysterious One in Three,
Jehovah we'll adore.
