122. Praise God With the Cymbal!

1 Let us exalt the name of God together,
Let us extol His great and matchless fame;
He hath created and hath left us never,
Boast ye of Him with heart and tongue aflame!

Praise God with the cymbal!
Praise God with the timbrel!
Praise Him aloud with psaltery and harp!
Let trumpet proclaim Him!
And voices acclaim Him!
Praise Him, all ye sons of men!
Praise the Lord!

2 Let us exalt the name of God together,
Who stoop’d in Christ unworthy souls to win;
His was the hand, and mercy as the lever
That raised us up when we were dead in sin. [Refrain]

3 Let us exalt the name of God together,
No things to come can separate from Him;
Angels nor powers, life nor death, can sever,
Wake hallelujahs! Raise aloft the hymn. [Refrain]

4 Let us exalt the name of God together,
Let the redeem’d declare His wondrous praise!
Ye hosts above, assist our weak endeavour!
Exalt His name throughout eternal days! [Refrain]
