1 Be a light for Jesus, witness for your King,
Tell His love and mercy, of His goodness sing;
Scatter deeds of kindness as you take your way,
More and more like Jesus growing ev’ry day.

Refrain:
Be a light for Jesus, clearly, truly shine,
Bearing faithful witness to His power divine;
When temptation meets you closer press to Him,
When in touch with Jesus naught your light can dim.

2 Be a light for Jesus ev’rywhere you go,
When the shadows deepen still more brightly glow;
Like your blessed Master shine with radiance clear,
When the night is darkest sending rays of cheer. [Refrain]

3 Be a light for Jesus with His love aflame,
Daily bringing glory to His holy name;
With the Spirit’s guidance for Him ever live,
As to you He giveth unto others give. [Refrain]

4 Be a light for Jesus till your crown is won,
Then thro’ endless ages brighter than the sun!
You shall shine up yonder far beyond the sky,
