13. For Yourself

1 Have you seen the cross of Calv’ry,
Have you met the One who died,
Have you learnt the deeper meaning,
And by faith been justified?

You must see it for yourself,

No one else can see it for you,

2 Have you heard Christ’s invitation,
Have you listened to His voice,
Has the word of peace and pardon,
Made your trembling heart rejoice? [Refrain]

3 Have you taken what He offers,
Have you come to Him for rest,
Do you own Him Lord and Master,
With your mouth is He confessed? [Refrain]

4 Do you know that you’re forgiven,
Are you resting on His word,
Have you claimed His precious promise,
Blest assurance from the Lord? [Refrain]
